Used, Oversized hardcover without dust jacket, 41pp. Former copy of Leeds reference library, with their bookplate to front pastedown, stamp and sticker to rear pastedown and reference slip bound in beteween pages 2-3. This appears to be a bound version of the original magazine with the first and last pages, as well as the full colour portrait of Queen Victoria, in laminate. Watermarks to gutter of pages 40-41, light creases upper inside corners of pages 2-12 and lower leading corner of page 1. First and final pages are creased and lightly torn under the laminate. Red cloth boards are lightly edgeworn, small bump along front lower edge and light mark to rear. The binding is tight and the text is all clean and clear. AD. Very Good.

Gilt borders to covers, gilt printing and decoration to spines with 5 raised bands. V.1 is chipped at spine head and cracked at title piece; rear board has come away completely but is still present. V.2 is missing the lower half of the spine and the upper half is being held in place with tape. Each volume has a bookplate to the front pastedown, which has imprinted to the FEP, plus some minor foxing to the endpapers. Board edges are lightly rubbed and covers have a few faint marks. Text is all clean and unmarked throughout both volumes. AD. Good.
